Social Media Coordinator

You are a strategic thinker and natural-born storyteller. You understand how to use content to craft a strong narrative; and you skillfully leverage all formats (social media copy, video, and photos; blog posts; newsletters, etc.) in furtherance of that narrative. You are a student of culture, and you live and breathe social media. You know about the latest trends, but can balance between being a fan, a consumer and doing your job professionally.
Responsibilities
As a Social Media Coordinator, you will create content and social media posts for both our agency and a select number of our clients and partners. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Collaborating with the agency team on the design and implementation of an overarching content and social media strategy based on brand identity
- Developing and adhering to a content creation and posting calendar in line with the strategy
- Developing original copy to post with photos and video content across our social and digital platforms
- Coordinating with the creative team on visual asset creation; otherwise sourcing and/or creating photos and video to be posted across our social and digital platforms
- Reporting on best performing posts and social metrics
- Maintaining consistency of social media account messaging with agency/brand guidelines
- Monitoring and participating in social conversations on behalf of the agency and partners to increase engagement
- Monitoring and creating content for the social media accounts of our partners and clients
- Creating buzz around company highlights and industry updates
- Maintaining and updating our blog for maximum SEO
- Constantly looking for new ways in which content can be leveraged to tell both the agency’s and our client’s stories
Requirements
Before applying for this role, please make sure you:
- Have a Bachelors’ degree
- Are passionate and have positive energy that resists the temptation to be miserable when things get tough; are inspiring, not draining
- Are proficient in all Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Drive
- Deeply understand the content community, platforms, influencers, and current trends. Are an expert in the social media space?
- Have excellent writing skills. You communicate with confidence; write and present to inspire
- Have an eye for photography and design
- Are insanely curious and open-minded
- Are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit; thrives in an environment which is both small and flexible and demanding
- Participate in, contribute to, and study culture
